PCSIR Conducted its 33rd Council Meeting

The 33^rd Council Meeting of PCSIR held on 20.04.2017, at PCSIR Head Office Islamabad. It was the 4^th meeting of the Council held during the tenure of present management. Out of 21, 17 Members participated in the meeting. The Council was apprised of the progress and achievements of PCSIR in various areas of activities. The Council was also briefed regarding initiating “PCSIR Continuous Excellence Programme” through which not only R&D activities have increased but commercial activities multiplied revenue generation also. The Council appreciated the management to revitalize its R&D out of self-generated earnings.

Apart from performance of R&D and PSDPs / Technical Institutes, Amendment in “PCSIR Training Regulations-2002 (Amendment-2017)” also came under discussion and the house was apprised reasons for suggesting amendments in the existing Training Regulations. The Council agreed with the amendments proposed in the Training Regulations.

In the end, the Chairman informed the house that the tenure of existing private sector representatives on the PCSIR Council is going to expire on 22.04.2017. He thanked to the out-going Council Members representing private sector and appreciated their contribution / inputs for improving functions of the Council. The outgoing members desired for re-nomination of their membership in the Council. The Chairman assured for recommending their nominations for next tenure.
